It’s Great When You Get into Your New Pet and All, But…

I think my husband is identifying a little too much with the worms.  I’ll be honest, when I asked for the worm composter on our wedding registry, I didn’t realize the worms would have to live in the house.  We left the worms in the living room for a couple of days because I read that being exposed to light would help the worms realize they belonged in the fancy worm composter and not on our hardwood floors.  When they seemed to be doing okay with that, I cleared a worm-sized space in our coat closet.  Then, yesterday, this happened:

And that is why I have a box of worms in my living room.
